Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about You + Me Kentucky
What is You + Me Kentucky?
You + Me Kentucky is a directory and community platform dedicated to highlighting authentic Kentucky small businesses. We help locals and visitors discover hidden gems, local shops, restaurants, and services across every town in the Bluegrass State.
How do I get my business listed?
Many Kentucky businesses are already in our directory through public data sources. To claim your listing, get featured placement, or join as a member, visit our Join page or contact us at youmekentucky@gmail.com.
What's the difference between a free listing and membership?
Free listings appear in our directory with basic information. Featured Members get priority placement, a special badge, enhanced listing details, and are highlighted in town pages. Members also get access to analytics showing how visitors discover their business.
How do you decide what's a 'local gem'?
We prioritize locally-owned, independent businesses over national chains. Our local gem scoring considers factors like community engagement, uniqueness, and user signals. Chains are shown separately so local businesses get the spotlight they deserve.
Is my town included?
Yes! We include every incorporated town, city, and Census-designated place in Kentucky. If you can't find your town, it may be listed under a slightly different name. Use our search feature or contact us for help.
How can I support You + Me Kentucky?
The best way to support us is by using the directory, sharing it with friends, and telling local business owners about our platform. Business owners can join as Featured Members to get enhanced visibility while supporting our mission.
Do you have a mobile app?
Not yet, but our website is fully mobile-friendly. We're also building QR code-based experiences that let you discover local gems as you explore Kentucky towns in person.
How do I contact you?
You can reach us at youmekentucky@gmail.com. We're based in Campbellsville, Kentucky and love hearing from locals, business owners, and fellow Kentucky enthusiasts.
